Phytomer is the marine-cosmetics house we've been using for years: micro-filtered seawater, active seaweeds, Breton biotech. We use it here in Formentera for facials and body rituals built for skin that spends too many hours outdoors.
Phytomer was founded in Saint-Malo, on the north coast of Brittany, more than forty years ago. It is one of the few European cosmetics labs that remains family-run and independent, and arguably the most serious about really using marine ingredients: they extract seawater 5 km off the coast, ferment seaweed in bioreactors, and formulate treatment products that sit closer to dermo-pharmacy than to perfumed retail.
We use it because it works on real skin, not campaign skin. Most of our clients arrive after several days of beach, salt, wind and sun oil. That skin needs three things: deep-layer rehydration, recalibration of the hydrolipidic film, and reduced inflammation. Every treatment on the menu is built around one of those objectives.
We work with the certified BIO seaweed line, the body rituals based on seawater, and the anti-aging face and eye-contour treatments. All products are prepared on the spot — no sachet is opened until you walk into the cabin.
